Visiting Sri Lanka with friends we were told about Sail Lanka and to consider it as a trip… so we did and it was amazing. The views were amazing, the scenery was spectacular and blue whales made an appearance. The food was absolutely out of this world with your onboard chef, combined with fresh fish caught by the crew.. you get the point! The crew is generally friendly and welcoming, although I found that only the captain seemed willing to chat with us at times. This sometimes reflected on the service outside of meal times, in terms of provision of cold drinks, water or snacks. Which I really feel is missing a trick for the company, as well as guests in terms of satisfaction and service. All in all, I would highly, highly recommend! You can BYO alcohol for a small corkage charge too… just in case that’s important to anyone Bring plenty of high factor sunscreen and your own sea sickness meds etc
